About Me

Hi! I'm Gretchen, founder and photographer at Marci Photo. Whether you found your way here through my Instagram account, a friend, or a Google search, I am so happy you've landed here!

Chances are you have an important event coming up or want to capture you and your loved ones at a special point in time. How exciting! I'm honored that you're considering me to be a part of it.

A little about me: I graduated from Cornell University with a degree in Architecture, but photography has long been central to my creative life. In high school and my early college years I was taking candid photos of my friends and at parties with my first Canon film camera. I later took a digital photography class as a student in Rome and fell back in love with both the art of creating beautiful images and the way that photography encouraged me to interact with the world.

In the years since, I found myself taking photos at my family events to stay present and manage social anxiety. And people liked them!

So I decided to give it a go in the professional setting, and my business blossomed in a way I couldn't have anticipated.

I founded my first solo venture, Marci Photo, in 2022 after working as a professional photographer since 2019. It's been a joy thus far to work at the helm of this creative venture.

I find it very important to get to know my clients well before I take their photos. No two couples or families are the same, so I am always looking for ways to make their pictures unique to them. My goal is to capture memories that my clients can look upon fondly for years to come. I am extremely honored that my clients let me into their intimate moments and allow them to memorialize their important events. It's something I take very seriously, even if we're having a lot of fun along the way!
